The Lutheran Difference as it relates to End Times: A Biblical Walk Through What We Believe, Teach and Confess.

Hollywood has done a nice job of confusing the Biblical teaching of the end of the world.  Along with the media, popular culture, and a variety of new age spiritual and unorthodox perspectives it is hard to understand and talk about what we as Christian Lutherans believe as there is so much misinformation.  Join us as we discuss what the differences are, where we stand, and how we proclaim it.

Adult Instruction and New Member Class 

Are you interested in finding out more about what the LCMS believes, teaches and professes?  Are you interested in membership at Good Shepherd or would like to make a public profession of faith?  Perhaps you would like to dust off your Small Catechism and re-explore what you were previously taught.  Maybe you just want to sit with a group of adults and discuss what it means to be Lutheran.  If any of these sound like you, join us for this 8 week class beginning Sunday, January 10 from 7:30-9:00 PM.

Breakfast and Bible with the Boys

Join other men as we walk through the selected readings for Sunday worship with Pastor Jonah.  The focus is on the theme of the various readings and the connections between the Old Testament, Epistle and Gospel.  Start your day off in the Word of God while engaged in an informal atmosphere that encourages fellowship.  (Located in the playroom at Hardee's on College Avenue in Marshall).

Coffee with Christ

Each week we gather to discuss current events and walk through selected Biblical readings.  This very informal study is an excellent way to connect with other people from the Marshall area as well as share in fellowship and faith.  (Located in the church Fellowship Hall)

Friday 6:00 PM

Chick Flicks (October 9th, December 11th, February 12th, & April 9th)

What do you get when you join other women for a selected movie, a themed meal to fit the movie, and a facilitated discussion on the Christian themes from both?  An awesome Bible study that will address issues faced by Women.  This Study is scheduled for the second Friday of every other from 6:00 - 9:30 PM.  Contact Liz Burakowski for more information or sign-up by clicking here.
